Hey there, fellow runners!
I want to take a moment to extend a warm welcome to all the newcomers joining our running community.
Whether you’re a seasoned marathoner or just lacing up your shoes for the first time, I’m thrilled to have you here!
Allow me to introduce myself a little further.
My name is Elisa, and I hail from Italy, although I currently call Germany home.
Running has been a central part of my life for as long as I can remember, with distances ranging from scenic 10K routes to the invigorating challenge of half marathons – and a couple marathons, too.
Yet, beyond the kilometers logged and medals earned, running represents something deeper to me—it’s a journey of self-discovery, a pathway to mindfulness, and a source of boundless inspiration.
In addition to pounding the pavement, I’m deeply passionate about mindfulness practices and spending quality time amidst nature’s embrace.
When I’m not out on the trails, you might find me on the yoga mat, spinning away in a fitness class, or diving into new adventures like swimming or even bellydance.
Professionally, I navigate the world of marketing and communication, but my true calling lies in empowering others to unlock their full running potential.
I’ve recently become a certified running coach, with aspirations to guide fellow enthusiasts towards their own personal triumphs. 🏃♀️💫
Here on the blog, my aim is to offer more than just running tips and training advice.
I’m here to foster a sense of community, to share stories of resilience and triumph, and to explore the profound connection between running and holistic well-being.
Because to me, running isn’t just about crossing finish lines—it’s about embracing the journey, overcoming obstacles, and discovering the strength that resides within each and every one of us.
On a personal note, my relationship with running has been shaped by moments of both triumph and adversity.
During my adolescent years, I faced a series of challenges that tested my resilience – like, for example, eating disorders.
Through perseverance, the unwavering support of loved ones, and especially through running, I emerged from that stronger than ever.
Running became my sanctuary, my solace, and my greatest teacher in the art of self-care.
So, to all of you embarking on your own running journey, I extend my heartfelt gratitude for choosing to be a part of this community.
Together, let’s lace up our shoes, hit the trails, and embrace the transformative power of the run.
Here’s to many more miles, meaningful connections, and unforgettable experiences ahead!
With warmest regards,
Ely
