Action is the Answer!

Fellow runners!

Let me share a little anecdote with you:

Back in January 2022, amidst a period of reluctance to confront aspects of my life that no longer served me and many upcoming (positive) personal changes, I made a spontaneous decision.

I got the word “fearless” tattooed on my wrist.

It was a bold move, one that still prompts a mix of emotions within me.

As I reflect on this inked reminder, I’ve come to realize the profound truth behind it.

Claiming to be completely fearless is, quite frankly, unrealistic.

Fear is a fundamental aspect of our humanity, ingrained in us for a reason.

It’s not about eradicating fear entirely but rather harnessing its power for positive action.

For me, this tattoo serves as a daily reminder to not let fear dictate my decisions.

Instead, I choose to confront my fears head-on with decisive action.

So, my message to you today is simple:

Don’t let fear hold you back.

Whether it’s taking your first steps in a group run, signing up for that daunting race, or pursuing any other athletic goal, embrace action as your antidote to fear.

Even small steps count.

I’m curious to hear your thoughts on this topic. How do you approach fear in your own athletic journey?

Feel Your Run,

Ely ✨
